(Sept. 21, 2026 — Marina, CA) — Tickets are now officially on sale for the Creative Economy Summit, a premier cross-sector gathering dedicated to exploring the pivotal role creativity plays in the economic future of Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties.
Hosted by the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership (MBEP) alongside regional leaders, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Watsonville Civic Plaza.
The summit asks a critical question for the future of the region: What could a stronger, more connected creative economy mean for the future of the Monterey Bay area? Organizers are inviting community members, business leaders, and innovators to help imagine — and begin building — what is possible.
More than a celebration of artistic expression, this event focuses on building opportunity and strengthening the regional economy. Creativity is far more than a cultural asset; it is a powerful economic driver. Across the Monterey Bay region, artists, designers, filmmakers, educators, entrepreneurs, cultural organizations, creative businesses, and innovators contribute to vibrant communities while supporting local jobs, attracting visitors, and unlocking new financial opportunities.

The Creative Economy Summit will bring together diverse voices from across the three counties to explore how to better recognize, connect, and intentionally grow this vital sector. Through dynamic panel conversations and interactive discussions, attendees will examine how creative assets intersect with key regional priorities, including:

- Workforce development and education
- Entrepreneurship and business innovation
- Tourism, community development, and placemaking
