Landed Information Meeting
Do you work in education as a teacher or staff in Monterey? Want to learn more about homebuyer education and financial security? Interested in down payment support to buy a home? Since its founding in 2015, Landed has already helped more than 100 educators purchase homes in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Denver. Last November Landed announced a partnership with all 10 school districts in Santa Cruz County and has already successfully financed 9 homes for educators in Santa Cruz County. On Nov 26, educators in Monterey will have an opportunity to learn more about Landed’s down payment support and homebuyer education program.

H-2A Housing Community Forum
The City of Soledad will be hosting a community forum to discuss the issue of H-2A housing (perhaps insert a brief description of H-2A for those who don’t know about it). Join Monterey Bay Economic Partnership’s Housing Program Manager Matt Huerta in attending the forum and providing constructive feedback for Council consideration.

4th Annual State of the Region Conference

MBEP’s 4th Annual State of the Region will be another compelling gathering of leaders from across the region and the state with relevant topics to inspire collaboration and action. You’ll learn about innovations in housing, transportation, and exciting new technologies, tools, and models that are coming to our region.

Garden Road Rezone Public Hearing
The Monterey Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the Garden Road Zone Amendment on Tues, Dec. 4, 2018. We will keep you informed of any changes. Please join us in attending this important meeting to get updated information on the proposed amendment, which could result in allowing for more than 400 new homes for our local workforce. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 580 Pacific Street. Meetings are broadcast live on the Monterey Channel and streamed on the web. Please check the City’s calendar page 72 hours prior to the meeting time to be sure that the meeting is taking place, and to view the agenda materials.
