MBEP hosted the third annual Regional Economic Summit at the Cocoanut Grove in Santa Cruz on May 4, 2017. The keynote speaker was Dr. Chris Thornberg, Founding Partner at Beacon Economics, who provided insights into local, state and national economic trends. The morning session consisted of panels that put a spotlight on jobs as the backbone of our economy. We explored and answered these important questions:

  • Who is producing high-quality jobs in the region?
  • How do we create more of them?
  • How can we work together to move people into higher wage jobs?
