CLIMATE CHANGE UPDATES

Thank you for your partnership. Let’s continue to set the precedent for the kind of climate leadership and policies we need to achieve net-negative emissions by 2030. If you have not already done so, please consider joining us alongside Members Greenpower, 3CE, City of Watsonville, the City of Santa Cruz, City of Del Rey Oaks, and UCSC in endorsing the Climate-Safe CA campaign.

If you are looking to fund sustainability efforts, please visit our funding resources page listing over 40 federal, state, local grants, bonds, loans, and/or community-led investments for governments, businesses, academia, nonprofits, tribal groups, and individuals. We welcome your feedback as we continue to add more funding programs and filters.

In 2021, we supported more than 20 climate-related policies, projects, and grant submissions re: energy efficiencies, micro-grid development, multi-modal transportation, zero waste, climate action plans, sustainable building, and more. If there is a policy, project, or proposal you’d like us to consider endorsing, please reach out.

We continue to promote sustainable development and improve public health by working with local and state agencies on updating planning documents, advocating for transit-oriented, infill housing projects, expanding water-saving technologies, relaxing water credit transfer programs, encouraging Complete Streets and Safe Routes to School programs, etc.
